Orion Nebula The Hubble View

"Canst thou bind the sweet influences of Pleiades or loose the bands of Orion? Canst thou bring forth Mazzaroth in his season? or canst thou guide Arcturus with his sons? Knowest thou the ordinances of heaven? canst thou set the dominion thereof in the earth? (Job 38:31-33)

Many years ago, E.W. Bullinger wrote, The Witness of the Stars. He speaks of how God wrote the redemption story across the sky. (Click on The Witness of the Stars above to see Bullinger's work).

What a comforting thought. Even as we sleep, salvation is above us, keeping us.

Be Blessed, today. The same God who flung the stars into place and called each one by name, knows us, knows our name, counts the very hairs on our heads!

See the three stars in a straight vertical line? That's Orion's belt. Cody and I would look for it every morning when I walked with him to the school bus stop. The name Orion means "The Coming Light" and is a picture of Jesus.

Romans 1:19 says, "Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath showed it unto them. For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead..."
